Tonight I had my first singing gig outside of church with my group "Trillium Soul" at
C & P Coffee Company. After getting Katie settled with the babysitter, Ben and I slurped down some yogurt before heading out to get set up. We had a great audience of friends and family. The show went really well. One of my friends said I sang better than I ever have before. What a great compliment:) Ben took these great photos of us at the show.

After the performance adrenaline ran out, I quickly realized that the yogurt was no longer doing anything for me. I was starving. We packed up all our gear and went to Zeeks Pizza for food and drinks with our friends. The drinks and breadsticks came out quickly. The pizza took forever. After a very long wait, the waitress told us that our first pizzas were cooked too long and were being recooked. Ugh. I was still very hungry. Our Cherry Bomb pizza, Italian sausage, sweet-hot roasted red peppers, parmesan, fresh basil layered over mozzarella and fresh tomato sauce, was finally served five minutes after we hoped to be heading home. I quickly ate one piece, boxed up the rest, paid, and headed home so that I could take our babysitter home. Oh well. At least we have good left overs for tomorrow:)
