| 3 batches of spices for the beef chili |
We hosted our church potluck group at our home tonight. I made a batch of
beef chili for our contribution to the potluck. The others brought:
- Chili with sausage and beans
- Jalapeno cornbread
- Shepard's pie
- Spinach salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, yellow bell peppers, and mushrooms
- Pigs in a blanket
After everyone arrived and the food was prepared, we sat down to watch the film "Inlaws & Outlaws". It is a wonderful film that shares the love stories of several couples and singles, both gay and straight. There was a screening of the film at our church earlier in the week, but most of our group could not attend. Our friend Laura suggested we watch it during our gathering too. I'm really glad she did. I found the film to be very moving. It reminded me of how thankful I am to have already found the love of my life.
